Windlass can let slip under compulsion. The strokes on the windlass would cause damages on its mechanical parts due to the chain is not elastic equipment. Furthermore, using chain claw brings lots of other advantages:

- Having a three-armed nylon tying rope with its special stroke absorbing rubber on reduces the strokes. Therefore you have the comfort both with reducing the forces on mooring cleat and reducing the forces on your anchor which gives it a better opportunity to keep its position and with that safety comes of course.

- The clinks done by the chain at the head pulley are reduced. This is important when you want to sleep in your boat.

- If you tie your spherical headed hook by two ropes to your boat, you reduce your boat's swings.

- Using chain claw gives you the opportunity to fix the problems on your boat's windlass when your boat is on anchor.

- Even is your chain stretched you can easily get it attached or unattached.

- It does not come off by itself due to adjusted body length for its spherical-reverse incline head and chain's axis.

- Due to totally rounded and unprojecting design, ultra chain grip passes from head pulley with chain easily without causing any damages.

- It is high resisting. It does not do opening because of its special form. It is made of AISI 316 stainless steal. It is not casted.

- The stroke absorbing rubber is specially designed for these purposes, with its short length and rounded tips passes from any head pulleys smoothly. Besides when more elasticity wanted you can use more than one stroke absorbing rubber one after the other. The rubber's material is enduring under sun and sea water.

If your boat is on anchor and you tend to stay a bit longer, it would be great to stop your chain.

To do this:

- The crack part on spherical headed hook is brought to a link of the chain. While you are doing this holding the rope on the spherical head a little to one side would help you. That means while you are attaching your chain claw if you do not overlap the rope exactly to the chain it would be attached easily.

- By holding the rope gently in your hand, lean out the chain and the spherical head to the sea for a little.

- Tie the back part of the rope to the mooring cleat or before to do that it would be better to make an eye to this tip and to use this eye for tying to mooring cleat.

- After the spherical head and chain take the load, please lean out the chain as much as the rope would be stretched.

- If on places which the rope is robbing itself strongly are there wounding parts you would use dustcloth to wrap up the rope's those parts.
